Mangaluru: The Inauguration of South Indian Homoeo Fest – Prerana ‘23 and the 26th Annual National Homoeopathic Conference was held on 4 Nov 2023 at Father Muller Auditorium, Deralakatte.

Dr Saddam Navas, IAS, Additional District Magistrate, South 24 Parganas, West Bengal, was the Chief Guest for the programme. Rev. Fr Richard Aloysius Coelho, Director of Father Muller Charitable Institutions presided over programme and the occasion was graced by Rev Fr Roshan Crasta, Administrator, FMHMC&H and HPD; Rev Ashwin Crasta, Asst. Administrator, FMHMCH and HPD; Dr ESJ Prabhu Kiran, Principal, FMHMC; Dr Vilma Meera D’souza, Vice Principal, FMHMC; Dr Rakhal P, Convener, Prerana-23 and Dr Amitha P Baliga, Organizing Secretary, 26th Annual National Homoeopathic Conference.

The dignitaries were welcomed with a traditional Poorna Kumbha. The formal inaugural commenced by invoking the blessings of the almighty and lighting the lamp. Dr E S J Prabhu Kiran, Principal, FMHMC welcomed the gathering and introduced the chief guest.

The Annual College Magazine “Pioneer 2023” was released by the Chief Guest. Staff Editor Dr Jolly D’Mello presented the highlights of the magazine and also announced the prize winners of the cover design competition.

The Chief Guest, Dr Saddam Navas, IAS, in his inaugural address expressed his pleasure and contentment to be a part of Prerana-23, and said that technology cannot replace the doctor so practically we have to reach out to the community to identify their needs. As a team we have to prepare ourselves for the future in terms of research and update knowledge.

Father Muller Homoeopathic Pharmaceutical Division is famous all over the world for its quality Homoeopathic products and medicines. Rev. Fr Roshan Crasta, Administrator, FMHMC&H and FMHPD, launched a series of new products, along with the Director, FMCI.

Dr Srinath Rao, former Principal and HOD of Materia Medica Department was felicitated on the occasion by the Director and the chief guest for his 36 years of dedicated and valuable service rendered to the institution.

Rev. Fr Roshan Crasta, Administrator, FMHMC&H and FMHPD addressed the gathering and said that the South Indian Homoeo Fest is an opportunity to exchange the expertise and knowledge. He also encouraged the student gathering to look beyond the horizon, to make their presence felt and known by the nation.

Rev. Fr Richard A. Coelho, Director, FMCI, presented a memento to the Chief Guest as token of appreciation and gratitude. In his presidential address congratulated the team for hosting Prerana 23 and the 26th conference. He wished the participants to give their best.

Prerana-23, the Mega Cultural event brought many Homoeopathic colleges together witnessing a prolific spectacular cultural and literary extravaganza. More than 525 Students participated from 16 different South Indian Homoeopathic Colleges and won prizes worth One Lakh.

Dr Rakhal P, Convener, South Indian Homoeo Fest proposed the vote of thanks.

Dr Deepa Rebello and Dr Manish Tiwari compered the programme.

On 5 Nov there will be a 26th Annual National Homoeopathic Conference. Dr Sreekar Manu, Chairman, Managing Director and Founder of Dr Manu’s Homoeopathy and Dr Rajat Chattopadhyay, Principal and Administrator, Calcutta Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital will be the resource person for the day. Around 720 delegates will attend the conference.

The valedictory programme is on 05.11.2023. Dr K. Narayanan, Distinguished Alumnus, Classical Carnatic Musician and Playback Singer will be the chief guest.
