Inauguration of Inter-collegiate Fest Excelso-2018

Mangaluru: Milagres College, Mangaluru organised an Inter-Collegiate Commerce, Management, Cultural and Literary Fest ‘Excelso– 2018’, on Saturday, February 17.

Walter Nandalike, Managing Director, Daijiworld inaugurated the ‘Excelso– 2018’ fest.

While addressing the students, Walter Nandalike recollecting his colleges days said, “This is the era of technology, which has overpowered us. In contemporary scenario, we need technology in every moment but students should remember that we should not depend on it so much that it kills innovative ideas and thoughts. Hence the fests like ‘Excelso– 2018’ help students to excel in their career.”

The Correspondent Rev.Fr Valerian D’ Souza presided over the function.

Principal of Milagres College Fr Michael Santhumayor welcomed the gathering.

Rev. Fr Valerian D’ Souza, Correspondent , Milagres Educational Institutions, in his presidential address said, “opportunities are there to rise higher and higher and it should be taken sportively, and students should have a desire to showcase their talents when there are opportunities. Modern world strives on excellence and it is possible only when we take interest”.

Cecilia Pereira, Vice President, Parish Pastoral Parishad, Ronald Pinto, PTA President, Vice Principal of High School, Rev. Fr Maxim D’ Souza, Vice Principal, Cassin Rodrigues and Fest Co-ordinator Glancia Roche, were present on the dais.

Rudresh N Sandur, Center Director, Sandur Systems was the chief guest for the Valedictory function.

The winners of the fest-St Aloysius Autonomous College, Mangaluru were the Champions and Canara College, Mangaluru were the runners-up of the the fest.

Events such as Best Manager, Marketing, Quiz, Ice Breaker, Face painting, Fashion Show, Art out of Waste and Debate were organised in which 12 colleges from various places participated.

Mr Savio Jerome D Souza and Ms Riana D’Cunha anchored the programme and Ms.Nishmitha D’ Souza, Student Coordinator proposed the vote of thanks.
