India’s 1st “Mr World” Raymond D’Souza opens gym at Sacred Heart College, Madanthyar

Mangaluru: Sacred Heart Arnold Multi Gym was inaugurated in the well-equipped Indoor Stadium of Sacred Heart College Madanthyar on Friday, 9th April 2021. India’s First “Mister World” Raymond D’Souza inaugurated it and was the Chief Guest. Raymond D’ Souza highlighted the importance of maintaining physical fitness among the youth as a healthy body keeps the mind calm and active. He also said that by doing exercises and going to a gym one can avoid bad habits. 

Correspondent Rev. Fr Basil Vas in his Presidential remarks, said “The College Indoor Stadium already has the facility of badminton, basketball and table tennis, by starting Multi-gym it has added one more feather to the Institution”. 

Vice President of Parish Council, Leo Rodrigues, well-wisher of the college, Big Brother Lancy Pinto, Taluk Panchayat Member Joel Mendonca, Gym Trainer and owner of Arnold multi gym Ronald D’Souza, National level Kabaddi referee and President of Alumni association Francis V V, Match Referee Sanjeeva Shetty Mugerody, Nisarga Studio and Video owner Subramanya, Abdul Rehman Padpu, students and staff were present. 

Dr Joseph N M Principal of the College welcomed the gathering, Physical Education Director Prakash D’souza proposed the vote of thanks. Nelson Monis anchored the Program.
