Mangaluru: Inter-trade Cricket Tournament was held on Dec 27 2022 at 8:30 a.m. in St Aloysius College Centenary ground. The cricket Tournament was held for 14 teams. The Chief guest was Naveen Rasquinha, president St Aloysius ITI Ex-Student Association. Rev Fr. John Dsouza S J – Director was the President. Roshan Dsouza – Principal, Alwyn Menezes – Vice Principal, Noel Lobo – Training Officer, Avinash Loy Dcunha – President, Student Council, Rayan James D’Souza – Sports Secretary, Manjunath Rao – Staff Convener, Rony Dcunha – Student Convener were present.
The Inter-trade Cricket tournament began with a prayer song. The inauguration was done by unveiling the trophies by the chief guest.
The chief guest addressed the gathering by saying that “Students have got a good opportunity of showing their interest in the sports field. Winning is not important, participation is important.” He wished all the teams all the best. The chief guest tossed the coin for the first match.
Liyana Sweedal Pinto, Electronics Mechanic in 1st year proposed the vote of thanks.
The programme was compered by Mahammed Afeel, AC 1st year.
Electronics Mechanic 2nd year and MMV 2nd year were selected for the finals. The commentators for the tournament were Mahammed Afeel, AC 1st year and Nazil, Plumber trade.
