Mangaluru: St Agnes College (Autonomous) and School of Meaningful Experiences organized an interactive programme on Life skills for students of UG and PG Departments of St Agnes College on Monday, April 17 2023 at the St Agnes College PG Auditorium. The programme was conducted under the aegis of SoMEVaadam, an MOU between St Agnes College and the School of Meaningful Experiences. 33 Students attended the programme.
The programme began with a prayer song led by UG students, followed by a welcome speech by Firdoz, a student ambassador of SoMEVaadam.
The programme was conducted in two sessions. The first session was conducted online by Brinda Ramesh, Business Development Executive at SoME. She spoke on “Career Planning: Your First Step to Job Satisfaction.” She highlighted the difference between job and career and enunciated the importance of job satisfaction and finding one’s passion.
The second session was by Anuja Mudur, Guide at SoME, who was introduced by Student Ambassador, Qizra Noorain. It was an online session on “Handling Stress Effectively: The Key to Personal Happiness.” She dwelt on different types of stress and suggested various ways through which an individual can seek happiness and can overcome stress.
An interactive session followed, where students posed questions to the resource persons, who answered them with great clarity. The programme ended with the Vote of Thanks given by Soujanya.
The programme was organized by SoME, along with the Staff coordinators of SoMEVaadam, Dr Zubaida, Associate Professor, Department of English and Mrs Sandhya Nayak, Assistant Professor, Department of English, with SoMEVaadam student ambassadors Qizra and Nandana.
