Mangaluru: Kanachur Institute of Medical Sciences, Natekal, Mangalore, which is under the prestigious Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bengaluru, has achieved an academic accolade.
Being one of the youngest medical education hubs in the Dakshina Kannada district, the 2nd year MBBS students have stood out with the best pass percentage of 91.05% in the district. Of the 123 students that appeared for the RGUHS university exams 13 secured Distinctions, 76 First Class and 23 Pass Class.
The Chairman, Haji UK Monu, Director, Abdul Rahiman, Dean, Dr H.S.Virupaksha, Associate Dean, Dr Sreesha Khandige, Medical Superintendent, Dr Devi Prasad Shetty, Chief Administrative Medical Officer, Dr Rohan Monis, Principals of Allied Health Institutions, the HODs and Faculty of all departments are very delighted with the performance of the MBBS students and expressed that they have set the mark higher and have to be outstanding in all aspects hereafter too.
