Konkani Sangha to organise Sangath Suvalo 2016

Mangaluru: Konkani Sangha in commemoration of 20 years in St Aloysius College will organize a National Level Konkani Cultural Fest “Sangath Suvalo 2016” at Eric Mathias Hall on December 3. The main aim of this event is to support and improve Konkani language and Konkani culture. Karnataka Konkani Sahitya academy has given support for this program.

Inauguration of the program will be held at 9.15 am at Eric Mathias Hall. Most Rev. Dr Henry D’Souza, Bishop of Bellary Diocese and Chairman of CBCI &CCBI Youth commission will be the chief guest. Roy Castelino, President, Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy will be the Guest of Honour. Rev. Fr Swebert D’Silva, SJ, Principal of St Aloysius College will preside over the function.

The Valedictory program will be at 3.45pm at Eric Mathias Hall. Dr Alwyn D’Sa, Vice-Principal of St Aloysius College will be the Chief guest. Rev. Fr Dionysius Vas, SJ, Rector, St Aloysius College Institutions will preside over the function.

The fest will comprise of 6 events in 2 different levels – PUC and Degree. The events include Painting, Poetry Writing, Mad Ad, Quiz, Group Singing and Group Dance.

On the occasion, Konkani books exhibition will also be organized in the college library from 9am to 4pm.
