Mangaluru: The inaugural programme of the MBBS Course for the academic year 2017-18 was held on September 1 at Decennial Memorial Hall of Father Muller Medical College, Mangaluru.
The programme was presided over by Rev. Fr. Richard A. Coelho, Director, FMCI. The Chief Guest for this inaugural was Rev. Fr. Dionysius Vaz S.J., Rector, St. Aloysius College (Autonomous), Mangaluru.
The other dignitaries present on the dais included Administrator of the Medical College, Rev.Fr. Ajith Menezes, Administrator of the Hospital, Rev. Fr. Rudolph Ravi D’Sa, Dean, Dr. Jayaprakash Alva and Course Coordinator, Dr. Prakash Shetty.
The programme began with the welcome address by the Dean and the inaugural address was delivered by the Chief Guest. This was followed by response by the parent representative and the Directors message.
The institutional documentary was screened followed by reminiscences and self introduction by batch 2017 students. The new batch was given guidelines about the course and the college by the Dean and the Administrator at the end.
