Mysuru: Maharaja Institute of Technology Mysore (MITM) has scheduled its 15th year annual fest Mahadasara 2022 from Thursday June 30 to Saturday July 2.
The fest is an extravaganza consisting of sports and cultural events involving 2500+ students, 250+ staff and a few events involving public participation as well.
Biathlon is one such event involving public and the students of our institute which is a combination of running (5 kms) and cycling (10 kms) with the theme of “Health & Happiness for all,” planned to be held on Friday July 1 between 07.00 am and 8.30 am, commencing from the entrance of UoM (Kuvempu Statue) via JK Ground and ending at MIT Mysore.
The interested may visit www.mitmysore.in for registration and the first 800 participants will get a T-Shirt from the Decathlon. There will be no entry fee for the registration or for the participation.
Dr. G. Hementh Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, University of Mysore, L. Nagendra, MLA, Chamaraja Constituency, Dr. K. H. Prasad, DHO, Mysuru, Geetha M. S. IPS, DCP (Traffic) and Dr. M. N. Ravi, Clinical Director and Chief Heart Surgeon, NH Multispecialty Hospital Principal of MITM and the members of MET will be the dignitaries at the starting point of the biathlon.
Also, on the final day of the fest, Saturday July 2, a performance by the famous Russian actress Model and DJ Julia Bliss is arranged at 07.30 pm, which is also open to public.
