National Conference on Nurturing Talent for Business Excellence

Mangaluru: School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya, Mangaluru is organizing two-day National conference on Nurturing talent for Business Excellence on April 12 &13, 2016.The conference aims at providing a common platform for the budding HR professionals across the country to enhance their knowledge and reflect upon the emerging issues and concerns on Talent Management.

Mr. A.B.Ibrahim, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Dakshina Kannada will inaugurate the conference on Tuesday, April 12 at 10.00 am. Dr. P.S.Yadapadithaya, Professor, Department of Commerce, Mangalore University, will be the key note speaker. Dr. Philomena D Souza, Director of the college will preside.

The valedictory session will be held on April 13 for which Mr P.A.Jose, General Manager – Administration (Rtd) MRPL will be the chief guest and Mr. Stevan Pinto, President, Roshni Alumni Association, Mangalore Chapter will be the guest of honour. Dr. Philomena Serrao, Retired Pricipal of the college will preside.

The technical sessions will be addressed by eminent speakers. A session on Introduction to Talent Management and Philosophy will be handled by Mr. Brian D A Fernandes, Director, Spearhead Media Pvt Ltd, Mangalore. Second session on Talent Acquisition, Engagement and Retention will be handled by Mrs. Nivedita Mirajkar, Soft Skill Trainer, Mangalore. A session on Hipot Talent Identification and Development will be handled by Mr. Raghavendra V Kulkarni, Seniour Manager – Talent Management, Himalaya Drug Company, Bangalore. Coaching – an effective tool for Talent Management will be addressed by Mr. Aloysius Kiran A, HR Executive, Titan Company Limited, Bangalore. A session on Application of Technology in Talent Management will be addressed by Dr. Angelo Mathew, Asst. Professor, Loyala College Trivandrum. Another session on talent management – best practices will be handled by Dr. Sonny Jose, Head, Department of Social Work, Loyola College Trivandrum.

There will be a special practical session on a De- stressing technique by Mrs. Asha Lobo, Asst. Professor, School of social work, Mangalore. The two-day event will witness delegates and participants from all over India.
