Mangaluru: A National Seminar on Financial Reporting and Analytics was organised by the Department of Commerce in association with CAST (Centre for Advanced Software Training) on February 15, 2019 in Eric Mathias Hall. Jitesh Choudhury, Senior Manager, Office of Director (Finance), MRPL, Managluru was the Chief Guest for the inaugural programme.
Jitesh Choudhury in his inaugural speech highlighted the growing importance of Financial Reporting and the corporate need to do Financial reporting. He also spoke on qualities which are required by professionals in the present era.
Rev. Fr Pradeep Anthony S J, Director of Commerce and Management, shared his view on present situation where scams are increasing and also appreciated the Department of Commerce for organising programs which gives opportunities for students to develop and improve their knowledge.
Silvia Das Merces Joao, student of II M.Com. compered the programme. Dr Suresh Poojary, Dean of Commerce welcomed the gathering and introduced the guests. Nisha Poojari, Co-convener, proposed the vote of thanks.
