Mangaluru: A seven-day (July 16 – 22) All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) sponsored Residential Faculty Development Programme (FDP) for “Student Induction” commenced at the Sahyadri campus.
The programme was chaired by AICTE representative Mohan Das and resource persons Sanjeev Chopra and Sivasankar Kanthethi and was presided over by Dr Umesh M Bhushi, Director-Strategic Planning Sahyadri College. In his address, Dr Bhushi explained the importance of the induction programme and appreciated the AICTE initiatives to build a better society. Prof. S S Balakrishna, Vice-Principal introduced the resource persons and also shared his views on the AICTE Induction Programme.
A total of 40 faculty members from various engineering colleges across Karnataka are currently undergoing the Faculty Development Programme in Sahyadri Campus.
The All India Council for Technical Education is the statutory body and a national-level council for technical education, under the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development.
