Mangaluru: Marking the Road Safety Awareness Week, the Department of Community Medicine, Kanachur Institute of Medical Sciences, Natekal, Mangaluru held an enthusiastic session with the students of Kanachur Public School on January 18, in association with the Traffic Police Inspector Team.
H Shivaprakash, Inspector of Police, was the Chief Guest and Sukumar and Chandra, Sub-Inspectors of Traffic, were the Guests of Honour. Shivaprakash, informed the students about the importance of following traffic rules and regulations and also educated the students on how to prevent road traffic accidents.
Vinita Rose, Principal, Kanachur Public School, highlighted the need for the young generation to be law abiding citizens.
Dr. Rohan Monis, Chief Administrative Office, Kanachur Hospital & Research Centre, stressed that proper civic sense is the need of the hour. “We need to create a society wherein people are punctual so that they don’t break traffic rules to reach on time,” he said. He along with the students, gave the guests of the event, a standing ovation for their immense contributions to the society.
