SAC’s journo students organise “Ten Nine Eight”- A workshop on child safety

Mangaluru: With the aim of spreading awareness about abuse and child safety, the final year journalism students of St Aloysius College (Autonomous), Mangaluru, organised a one day workshop on child safety and abuse- “Ten Nine Eight”, on Friday, August 31.
 
The workshop was conducted for the lower and higher primary students at the Government Higher Primary School Kapikad, Mangaluru, from 1.30 pm to 3.30 pm. 
Sessions of the workshop were handled by Father Muller Medical College staff Dr. Roshni, and Dr. Daron Mascarenhas and Medical Social Activist Jyothi Soans.
The objective of this event was to educate the children about ‘good’ and ‘bad’ touches, understanding and reacting to abuse, and safety tips.
 
Visual presentations and fun activities were also conducted to make the learning process easier and more effective.
