Mangaluru: The Youth Red Cross, NCC and NSS Units of St Agnes College (Autonomous) organized a one-day Blood Donation Camp on 2 May 2023 in collaboration with Father Muller Medical College Hospital, Mangaluru. Sr Dr Lydia A.C., Joint Secretary, St Agnes Institutions, Mangaluru was the Chief Guest of the program.
Dr Kirana Pailoor, Professor and Head, Dept of Immunohematology and Blood Transfusion, Father Muller Medical College Mangaluru addressed the gathering on the significance of blood donation. Sr Dr Lydia A.C. inaugurated and declared the camp open.
Sr Dr M Vinora A.C., PG coordinator, St Agnes College, Sr M Carmel Rita A.C., Administrator St Agnes College, Programme officer of Youth Red Cross Mrs Prajwal Rao, Programme Officers of NSS Units Dr Uday Kumar and Dr Meera Devi, NCC officers Lt Gayathri B.K. ANO Army wing, Flg Officer Dr Hithakshi ANO Air Wing were the other dignitaries present on the dais.
Vaishnavi welcomed the gathering. CUO Aparna proposed the vote of thanks. Priyel compered the program.
Sammitha, NSS secretary, CUO Aparna Bharadwaj, NCC Secretary, Rochelle Youth Red Cross secretary and many enthusiastic blood donors were also present during the camp. The volunteers of NSS, NCC and Youth Red Cross rendered their service during the camp. 77 pints of blood were collected during the camp.
