Mangaluru: The St Agnes College Chemistry Department organised a chemistry exhibition at the college campus in Mangaluru on Tuesday, September 17. The exhibition was held in order to mark 150 years since the invention of the Periodic Table.
The event was inaugurated by St Agnes College Principle Sr Jeswina and former Chemistry Department head Dr Jayantha was the chief guest of the programme.

Afterwards, Royston (a science enthusiast) recited the entire Periodic Table from memory which left the audience in awe.
A video-clip documenting the history of the Periodic Table was shown at the exhibition and helped students understand the events that led to the discovery of the Modern Periodic Table.
The exhibition, which was open to all school children, saw first, second, and third-year Chemistry students showcase various creative models and charts that highlighted intriguing aspects of the Periodic Table.
Faculty member Pavithra delivered the vote of thanks and Shamna compered the programme.
