Mangaluru: The Department of Political Science, St Agnes College (Autonomous), organized an Interactive session by Jayaprakash Rao, Former Regional PRO, DRDO Ministry of Defence, Zonal Chairman, Public Relations Council of India on the topic ‘Development of Science and Technology in Indian Defence-Career Opportunities’ on 8 June 2022.
Sr Dr M. Venissa A.C., Principal presided over the programme. Rao began his talk by giving the audience a glimpse of Dr Kalam and his early life as a student. He spoke about Dr Kalam’s vision for young India, the origin of ISRO, the achievement of ISRO and various opportunities in the Indian Defence sector. Rao also shared exclusive footage of the making of Chandrayan 2 and the launch along with footage of various missions conducted by ISRO.
Rupal D’Souza, III B.Sc. compered the programme. Akshitha welcomed the gathering. Pia, III B.Sc. introduced the guest. Angelica, I B.Sc. proposed the vote of thanks.
