Mangaluru: St Agnes School (CBSE) celebrated Kannada Rajyotsava by organising a programme at Bendur, Mangaluru on November 1.
The chief guest of the event was St Agnes PU College lecturer Shailja. The programme began with a prayer service offered to the betterment of the state and its people.
In her address, the chief guest spoke on the history of the state and about taking pride in being a true Kannadiga.
Afterwards, the cultural programme gave an oversight on the glory and importance of the day.
Students and teachers also showed their solidarity through slogans and poems highlighting the contribution of various personalities who have brought name and fame to the state of Karnataka. The school’s Kannada Club conducted a patriotic competition during the week for which the winners were felicitated by the chief guest. It was a day beautifully spent in the true spirit of unity.
