St Philomena College celebrates Diamond Jubilee beginning with Solemn Eucharist

Puttur: The Grand Finale of Diamond Jubilee Programme of St Philomena College Puttur began with Solemn Eucharistic Celebrations on January 22, 2019 in Silver Jubilee Memorial Hall.

The former Secretary of CBE and Parish Priest of Shakthi Nagar, Mangalore Very Rev. Gerald D’Souza participated as the main Celebrant. In his blessings, he said, “Let this institution still rise to higher level with the joint efforts of all the stakeholders.”

The Assistant Parish Priest of MudipuChurch Rev. Fr Shawn Rodrigues, in his homily said, “God is merciful and graceful with his multitude of blessings. St Philomena College is the witness for this.”

The various guest priests participated in this programme are Rev. Fr Peter Serrao of Delanthabettu, Rev. Fr Francis Assisi Almeida of Bishops House, Rev. Fr John D’Souza, Parish Priest of Nidpally Church, Rev. FrPrashanthFernandes, Parish Priest of Bannur Church, Rev. Fr Valerian Frank, Parish Priest of Maril Church, Rev. Fr Edwin Correa, Parish Priest of Permude Church, Rev. Fr Benjamin Pinto, Parish Priest of Mudipu Church, Rev. Fr Anil Lobo, Parish Priest of Panja Church, Rev. Fr Jenson Charlie, Seminary Professor, Rev. Fr Vincent D’Souza, Parish Priest of Sullia Church, Rev. Fr Vishal Monis, Parish Priest of Peruvai Church, Rev. Fr Lawrence D’Souza, Olavinahalli Chaplain and Rev. Fr Prakash D’Souza, Parish Priest of Manela Church.

The Campus Director Rev. Dr Antony PrakashMonteiro, Principal of St Philomena PU College Rev. Fr Vijay Lobo, Coordinator of PG Department of Commerce Rev. FrRithesh Rodrigues, Assistant Professor of PG Department of Commerce Rev. Fr George Sunil D’Souza, Rev. Fr Peter Gonsalves and Rev. Fr Valerian Mascarenhas participated in the holy Eucharistic Celebrations.

The faculty, administrative staff, alumni, parents, students and well-wishers of the College participated in this programme. At the end, Principal Prof. Leo Noronha proposed the vote of thanks.
