Mangaluru: The one day state level nursing conference “Demystify secretes of critical care nursing, Where am I?” was inaugurated at Kanachur College of Nursing here on May 3.
The chief guest of the event Srikanth B Phulari, Registrar, Karnataka Nursing Council, Bengaluru inaugurated the conference by lighting the lamp. Chairman of Kanachur Institutue of Medical Sciences (KIMS) Haji U K Monu, Dean of KIMS Dr. H S Virupaksha, Principal of Kanachur College of Nursing Prof. Renilda Shanthi Lobo, Director of KIMS Abdul Rahman, Chief Medical Administrative Officer of Kanachur Hospital and Research Centre Dr. Rohan Monis, event organising secretary and Associate Professor of Kanachur College of Nursing Irene D’Souza, were also present on the stage.
In his address, Srikanth B Phulari lauded the theme of the event, and the motive behind organising the conference by Kanachur College. He stressed that updating new medical skills in critical care nursing was of utmost importance as the technology and standards of care keep changing rapidly.
Dr. H S Virupaksha informed the students to register online for new courses and to take benefits of the new online registration process started by the Karnataka Nursing Council. Karnataka has become a hub for nursing medical science by opening up new job opportunities for the candidates who have completed BSc and MSc nursing, he added.
