Mangaluru: The valedictory function of the add-on courses, for the academic year 2018-19, was held on March 30.
Add-on courses such as IPR, Craft and Embroidery, Photography, Beautician, Culinary Arts, CA/CPT, French Spoken English, Soft Skills, Dramatics, Tally and Basic Computers were conducted in order to enrich the knowledge of the students.
Welcoming the gathering, principal of the college, Rev Fr Michael L Santhumayor said that such add-on programmes are based on the concept of value addition to a student’s academic credentials.
Sharing their experiences, the resource persons said that such add on courses will enhance the students’ knowledge in skill development and propel them towards gainful employment.
The student representative, Savio Jerome D‘Souza, CPL of the college, gave his feedback regarding the add-on courses. The students were then awarded a certificate of participation by the resource persons.
The resource persons Rev. Fr Francis Assisi, Prof Lourdusamy, Harina J Rao, Dylan Rebello, Rajeev Shenoy, Sharmine Rego, Marie D Souza, Jasmine Serrao, Denzil D’Costa and the add-on coordinator Wilma Fernandes were also present.
