Bidar: ‘Viveka Vidyarthi’ competitive examination will be conducted for high school students for personality development and improvement of district results. 8th, 9th, and 10th class students can register their names for the exam in their schools,’ said Swami Jyotirmayananda, president of Ramakrishna Vivekananda Ashram.
Addressing a press conference at his ashram in Shivnagar on Tuesday, he said that the examinations will be held simultaneously across the state on November 5th from 10 am to 1 pm. The name can be registered by August 31. There is a registration fee of ₹100. Two short books ‘Vivekananda’s Vidyarthi Jeevan’ written by Purushottamananda Swamiji of Vivekananda Ashram, ‘For Students’ will be given to the registrants. He shared the information that a question paper of 100 marks will be prepared based on these two books.
This exam will be organized in collaboration with the Education Department. Examinations are conducted in respective schools. The respective school teachers will evaluate the answer sheets of the students and send the result details. Three children of the 8th, 9th, and 10th classes will be selected for district and state levels. Cash prizes of ₹10,000 for the first, ₹8,000 for the second, and ₹6,000 for the third will be given. Also, at the district level, there is a first prize of ₹2,500, a second prize of ₹2,000, and a third prize of ₹1,500 cash. He also informed that a congratulatory letter will also be given.
There have been a lot of changes in students after covid. Their minds are not under their control. No concentration in studies. Through these exams, they will get concentration. It will help in their personality development. This will help in improving the educational results of the district. So he requested that the students should register their names and appear for the examination.
