Mangaluru: As a part of the World Breast Feeding Week celebrations that is being held between August 1 and 7, a guest lecture was organized by the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of Father Muller Medical College and College of Nursing on August 6 at the Hospital Conference Hall at 3pm.
Dr Prathima Prabhu, Assistant Professor, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Father Muller Medical College was the resource person. She reviewed the various aspects of breast feeding and highlighted the theme “Breastfeeding the foundation of life 2018” and recent updates from BFHI regarding breast feeding.
Faculty, students and staff nurses from the Father Muller Medical College, Nursing College and Hospital witnessed the programme. On the same day, a poster display competition on the theme “Breastfeeding: Foundation of life” was held for the students. The winners of the poster competition were then awarded.
