Mangaluru: Yen-Start 2018, powered by Trainident was held at Yenepoya Institute of Technology on 4 August 2018.
The networking meet aimed at kickstarting start ups and business networking in Mangaluru region saw several delegates from companies, education sector, entrepreneurs, students participating in the event. Budding entrepreneurs, wanting to start their own start ups were mentored, guided by industry delegates during the event.
Prof Austin Pais, Asst Prof in E&C Dept and CEO of Trainident welcomed the gathering. K Socrates, Dy Director, Min.of MSME, Govt. of India was the chief guest for the programme and also the first keynote speaker. He spoke on the roadmap for start-ups for entrepreneurs and gave directions to them.
Pradeep Raj, Operations Manager Centre of Entrepreneurship Opportunities and Learning (CEOL) gave the second keynote address. He briefed the delegates on CEOL and how they help budding startups entrepreneurs kickstart their start-ups at the centre.
The third keynote session was given by Principal of Yenepoya Institute of Technology Dr R G D’Souza who spoke about Yenepoya group.
The CEO’s of Trainident, Visionest and PMV Design Consultants handed over a memento to the Principal of YIT Dr R G DSouza as a token of appreciation on the occasion of Yen-Start 2018.
Vanora Robots, SS Packaging, Aykan Software, Idaksh Software, Nlite Energy, PMV Design Consultants, Trainident, Visionest, DM Consultants, RDL Technologies, Lohatec, Edu Extend, Step Up Group, Ever Serve Consultants Pvt Ltd, COEL and Spearhead Media Group are among the few companies that participated in the seminar.
Colleges that participated in the seminar included SDM College Ujire, Yenepoya Institute of Technology and Canara Engineering College.
