Yenepoya Memorial Trust signs MoU with IEF

Mangaluru: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Institutional Excellence Forum (IEF) and YMK Memorial Educational & Charitable Trust in Mangalore on 29th July that will pave the way for Inclusive Education Program towards enabling students to pursue a dream in sync with their in-born abilities & interests. Mr Yenepoya Abdulla Kunhi and Mr Manab Mishra signed on behalf of YMK Memorial Trust and IEF, respectively.

The program will start with embracing students of over 10 schools in and around Mangalore, Karnataka, and would proceed to cover more schools in other areas of the country in a phased manner.

Addressing the media, Mr. Y. Abdulla Kunhi – Trustee of Yenepoya Memorial Trust & Chancellor of Yenepoya University, said that it was of great significance that IEF and Yenepoya Trust, have decided to come together and strengthen the pursuit of inclusive education and excellence in a diverse range of educational endeavours.

Justice MSA Siddique, informed the audience about the Institutional Excellence Forum and their work towards making India a “Preferred Destination” for higher education by developing excellence attitude and making India a better informed career hub.

Probir Roy, Managing Trustee, IEF speaking on schools and their pivotal role in inclusive education program, stressed on urgent need for contemporary training of faculty and role of teachers and principals with respect to gen-next children.

President of All India Confederation for Women Empowerment through Education (AICWETE) Dr.ShabistanGaffar elaborated how schools and education institutions will stand advantageous over others by gaining from access to digital career exploration library, psychometric assessment & reports, career guidance seminars for parents, teachers and students, awareness about vocational skills, and scholarships etc.

Amit Garg shared his personal goal on why and how he embarked on a mission for raising the bar for quality and excellence in education. ManabMisra informed the audience about the Institutional Excellence Forum and their work towards making India a “Preferred Destination” for higher education by developing excellence attitude and making India a better informed career hub.

Mohan Tiwari showcased the importance of career counseling for students in general and effective training of teachers in particular for sustainable talent pool for continued Career Guidance.

Dr.Gautam Raj Jain highlighted the disparity in the Indian talent pool and urged a need to bring focus to the non-STEM fields of study & increase aspirational value of Vocational Education.

Dr SanjivLayek, editor of IAMR Journal of Management and Entrepreneurship emphasised on the role of subject matter experts in this program.

Dr. M.Vijaya Kumar the Vice Chancellor of Yenepoya University expressed the hope that this initiative will bear fruit for the numerous students of the country.

Dr C V Raghuveer, Registrar welcomed the gathering and Dr C K Manjunath, Principal of The Yenepoya School proposed the Vote of Thanks.
