Mangaluru: Yenepoya Nursing College, Department of Community Health Nursing organised a national conference on “Middle Level Health Provider: A Positive Wavelength Towards Healthcare” on May 17 at the Yendurance Zone.
The conference was inaugurated at 9.45 AM with District Health and Family Welfare Officer, Mangaluru Dr Ramakrishna Rao as the chief guest. Taluk Health Officer, Mangaluru Dr Naveen Chandra Kulal was the guest of honour. Registrar, Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) Dr Gangadara Somayaji K S presided over the inaugural function.
During the day, several sessions were held by various resource persons on various topics such as Demystifying MLHP, Radical grip on competencies of MLHP and MLHP: Providers’ perspective and a panel discussion on Contextualising and Incorporating MLHP in UG curriculum.
Dean/Principal of Yenepoya Nursing College Dr Leena K C welcomed the gathering. Organising secretary Nithyashree B V proposed a vote of thanks.
The valedictory programme of the conference was held at 3.30 PM at the Yendurance Zone.
Professor and HOD of the Department of Community Medicine, Yenepoya Medical College, Dr Abhay Nirgude was the chief guest of the occasion.
Asst Professor of the Department of Community Health Nursing, Yenepoya Nursing College, Savitha welcomed the gathering.
