Shirali: The annual cultural program of Masjid-E-Rahmania Shirali, organized by Youngsters (Naw-Jawan Committee) and hosted by Moulana Anwar was held at Pallihakkal, Shirali Taluk, Bhatkal on Thursday. More than 25-30 students under 15 years of age participated in the program.
Since last several decades, youngster of Masjid-E-Rahmania, residents of Shirali have been continuously organizing this cultural program to spread the message of peace and harmony as well as to create awareness about the bad habits, practices and meaningless customs and traditions prevailing in our society. The Masjid students tried to highlight all these practices in the form of acts, speeches, plays, nath etc and caught the attention of audience. Some students presented Nath and Hamd in their melodious voice while some others tried to highlight the bad customs and tradition which is prevailing in our society. Their talent and skills successfully won the hearts of the parents.
The program started with the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an.
Mankal S Vaidya , MLA of Bhatkal , Karwar District graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. President of Shirali Gram Panchayat Venkatesh shared the stage with him.
In his speech Mankal Vaidya encouraged the students to study well for a better tomorrow, a better nation adding that he would extend any support, within his reach in the education and in improvement of town and villages under him.
The dignitaries on stage, guest of honor Janab Abdul Rab Moulana shared the message of peace and harmony, importance of parents and Namaz in our life.
Janab Shaikh Fareed was honored at the program for his diversified service as Mouazzin at Rahmania Masjeed for more than 50 years.
Janab Anwar Moulana was honored at the program for giving encouragement to the students .
The program ended with Dua followed by prize distribution and dinner.
