Mangaluru: Under the joint aegis of the Pakshikere unit of Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM), ICYM Kinnigoli Denary Trident Trucking and other local associations, Humanity first foundation, AASRO foundation and A.J. hospital Mangaluru in the city, a blood donation camp was organized at Pakshikere at St Jude’s Shrine on Sunday, October 16.
Pakshikere Shrine parish priest, Fr. Andrew Leo D’Souza, delivered the benedictory address. Damodhar Shetty encouraged and invited young people to take part in blood donation camps in large numbers.
Manager of Blood Bank, of A.J Hospital, Gopalkrishna, explained the importance of donating blood. Parish council vice-president Vincent D’Souza, parish secretary Lucy D’Souza. humanity first foundation member Kevin Misquith, AASRO foundation founder Jackshon Pakshikere, Panchayath member Mayyadi, Trident Trucking work shop manager Dinkar Anchan, ICYM local unit president Glen Saldanha and ICYM denary president Kevin Vaz, Walter D’Souza, Joel D’Souza and Sharan D’Souza, were present.
Glen Saldanha welcomed the gathering. Carlin Aranha proposed the vote of thanks.
