Class room construction at various schools initiated

Mangaluru: MLA Vedavyas Kamath laid foundation stone for the construction of 12 rooms at various schools in the City.

Foundation stones were laid for eight rooms at Nalyapadavu Government Pre-University College in Padu West Ward, two rooms in Government High School and two rooms in Government Higher Primary School.

Speaking on the occasion, MLA Kamath said that various works will be taken up at a total cost of Rs 2.60 Crore and development projects have been implemented for the benefit of the students of this region. A PU College has also been set up to enable the children in and around Shakthinagara to continue their studies, he added.

MCC Deputy Mayor Poornima, Mangaluru Urban Development Authority Chairman Ravishankar Mijar, Standing Committee Presidents Shakila Kava, Kishore Kottari, Local Corporator Vanitha Prasad, Leaders Ravichandra, Prasad, Vijay Shenoy, Purushottam Bhat, Rajendra Kularawada, Ravichandra, Vijaya Shenoy, Purushottam Jogi, Padmanabha, Vijay Shetty, Ashok, Raghu Acharya, Kushal Kumar, Prashanth, Balakrishna Pushpa, Vinaya, Amrita, Ramesh Bijur, Chandrahasa, Gayathri, Susheela, Narayana D., Sundara D., Ganesh Prabhu, Rajesh K, PU College Principal Jayananda, Primary School Headmaster, Party Workers including implementation officials of the rooms, and local residents were present.
