Mangaluru: All new golden Garuda (believed to be Lord Vishnu’s vehicle) was offered to Lord Venkataramana Temple, Car Street, here on Monday, May 13.
The golden Garuda was brought in a procession which began at 6 PM from Canara High School, Dongarkery and moved towards New Chitra, Lower Car Street and reached the temple.
Meanwhile, devotees had gathered in large numbers.
The golden Garuda will be ritualistically offered to Lord Veera Venkatesha on Thursday, May 16.
At auspicious time of 10:47 AM according to the Hindu calendar, the golden Garuda will be offered to Lord Veera Venkatesha by Shree Samyamindra Theertha Swamiji of Kashi Mutt Samsthan.
