Mangaluru: In order to encourage and motivate young students in and around Mangalore in STEM subjects, the Lady hill & Kudremukh unit of the Lions club is organizing a STEM Talent Contest for Grades VII, VIII, IX and X students on November 20, 2022 (Sunday). The STEM Talent Contest conducted by Lions Club has been running for over 10 years now. Besides the opportunity to put their STEM knowledge and skills to test, the contest will inspire and teach students the relevance of their learning, as well as the importance of understanding concepts.

Lions Club has been instrumental in conducting various mentoring and guidance sessions for students and parents to create awareness about the plethora of STEM options available in various top Institutions in the country after Grade 12. The STEM Talent Contest is one such initiative to prepare students for a digital future by creating awareness regarding the importance of STEM, getting into the top colleges in the country and the positive future that these subjects have.

The contest is a long-standing favourite for students in and around Mangalore and is a great chance for them to put their practical skills to test. The question paper for the contest is based entirely on the school syllabus/board portions. However, the questions would not only test the student’s interest in the subjects but will assess their understanding and practical approach to the concepts.

Registration to the said contest is free and students can register at their schools or by sending an email to stemtalentcontest@gmail.com or by calling 9448376763/7019479201.
