Mangaluru: “By trying to take the life of harmony to a higher level, the distinction can be erased. My enthusiasm has doubled because of the love and confidence of all of you, said Dharmadhikari Dr. Veerendra Heggade.

He was addressing the pilgrims of the 10th year Padayatra from Ujire to Dharmasthala at Amritavarshini Auditorium in Dharmasthala of the District on Saturday November 19. “I am happy that the padayatra is special every year. It has brought me to the Rajya Sabha membership because I faced problems without showing my back and my goal was clear. This is the blessing of Sri Manjunatha Swamy,” he said.

“Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made India stand atop in the world. We have got a capable Prime Minister. His power to make unique, surprising decisions is indeed special,” he noted.

“The administration of the region has given priority to co-existence, harmony and symbiosis. There is no question of making distinctions between devotees here. Pressures have come naturally. I have faced it naturally,” he said.

“We have the opportunity to do services such as rural development schemes to alleviate poverty in the society, shaurya team to manage disasters etc. All this is the result of the love, trust and devotion of all of you,” he asserted.

MLC Harish Kumar said, “The phrase ‘Satyamev Jayate’ is true in the Constituency. This should be the first time in the country that there are four elected representatives in the Taluk. This is the blessings of Sri Manjunatha Swamy,” he added.

MLC Pratapsimha Nayak said that the ten-year-long padayatra had shown that satvik shakti is a special spirit. On the one hand, the tenth padayatre, on the other hand, Heggade’s Rajya Sabha membership. “Further, the celebration of the 50th year of the marriage of the Heggade couple as well the fact that Heggade is entering his 75th year on the other hand has added to the joy of all of us,” he said.

MLA Harish Poonja welcomed the gathering and said that today’s padayatra has brought special energy and excitement. Anil Kumar of the Rural Development Project proposed the vote of thanks. Srinivas Rao hosted the programme.

Ujire Sri Janardhana Swamy Temple Administrator Mokthesara Sharath Krishna Padvetnaya was present.

Earlier Bhajan was performed by Belthangady Satsanga team of Lord ShirdiBaba Sathya Sai Seva Kshetra Halekote on the dais.

On account of 50th wedding anniversary of Heggade couple, the women lit the aratis. Heggade couple was presented huge garland by the Padayatra Samiti and felicitated with a beautiful Balagopala replica in Yakshagana form. The priests recited the Ayyushya Suktas and blessed them.
