Mangaluru: Milagres Educational Institutions, Degree section, PUC, Central School, High School, Mangalore, sections jointly organized an “Anti Drug Awareness March” on Sep. 30, 2023 from 9 am to 10:30 am.
A C Vinayaraj, Corporator of Court Ward, flagged off the march and in his message said that “We have to create awareness among youth so that we can save the young generation from menace of drugs. S Mahesh Kumar, Assistant Commissioner of Police of Mangalore City delivered a message, saying that Youth should be the Ambassador to Anti Drug Awareness Programs.
Rev. Fr Bonaventure Nazareth, Correspondent of the institutions, Rev. Fr Micheal Santhumayor Campus Director and Principal, Rev. Fr Robin Santhumayor, Asst. Parish Priest of Milagres Church, Rev. Fr Udaya Fernandes, Principal Central school, Melwin Vas, Principal PU College and Beulah Rego, Incharge Vice-Principal High school were present.
The march started from Milagres grounds and led through Mother Theresa Road, Avery Junction, Don Bosco Hall Road, Balmatta Road, Hampankatta Circle and back to Milagres Institution campus. More than 2500 students and staff members of the institution participated in the march.
