Mangaluru: A special grant of Rs. 2.50 Crore has been sanctioned for the construction of a road from Adankudru to Ullal Hoige Bazaar in Jappinamogaru 54th Ward of Mangaluru City Corporation limits.
Mangaluru South MLA B. Vedavyas Kamath laid the foundation stone.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Vedavyas Kamath said that the development of this road will greatly benefit the people of the region. So far, it had to be wrapped up through Ullal and used. He said that once the road development is completed, direct connectivity will be made available to the people of the region. He expressed his gratitude to all those who contributed at various stages in the implementation of the project.
In the initial phase, funds have been provided for road development and construction of a minor bridge and additional funds will be provided for the ongoing works. The project was being implemented as per the earlier demand of the people of Ullal Haiyugerashi area and he had kept his promise, he said.
