Mangaluru: MLA Vedavyas Kamath performed the bhoomi pooja for the construction of a new room for the Government Higher Primary School at Bengre.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that in the last five years, a lot of funds have been brought from the Government for the all-round development of the education sector. He said work is underway towards the holistic development of Government Schools.
A sum of Rs. 28 Lakh has been released for the construction of rooms in Bengre Government School and instructions have been issued to complete the work at the earliest. He said further funds would be provided for the holistic development of Bengre area as per the demand of the public of the region.
Corporator Sunitha, Leaders Surendra Pangala, Hemachandra, Gangadhar Salian, Lokesh Bengre, Sanjay Suvarna, Mahesh V. K., Keshav Gurikar, Rakesh, Ramesh, School Headmistress Umalakshmi, School Staff and others were present.
