Mangaluru: A new Rotary Club at Modankaup, Bantwal has established under the leadership of The Rotary Club, Bantwal. The handover ceremony for this Club was held on June 28 through Zoom meeting and the event was chaired by K Narayana Hegde, President of the Rotary Club, Bantwal. District Governor, M. Ranganatha Bhat, handed over the new club’s Charter to the new President, Rtn Elias Sanctis.
The Elected Office Bearers of Modankaup are as follows: Rtn Elias Sanctis is President, P.A. Raheem-Secretary, Treasurer-Preema Violet Fernandes, Vice President-V.K.Prasanna Kumar, Directors: Club Service – Diwakar Shetty, Parariguttu, Community Service –Roshan Rai, Career Service -Sunil Kunder, International Service- Roshan Prem D’Souza, Youth Service –Prakyath Chouta, Dr Govardhan Rao is assigned as the President for the next year, Chairman Paul Karlo, Vishwaprasad Hegde, Arun Kumar, Mallika V.Shetty, Stany D’Souza, Advocate Hemachandra and Donald D’Souza has sworn in as the Sergeant Wit Arms.
The programme was graced by Chief Guests Rtn Prakash Karath- Assigned District Governor, Rtn Pratapsimha Nayak-Asst Governor Zone 4, Yatikumar Swamy Gowda –Asst Governor Zonal, Senani Jayaraj Bangera-Governor Special Representative, B.Sanjeeva Poojary-Secretary of the parent Club, Vanikaranth and Modankaup Parish Priest Rev Fr Valerian D’Souza.
District Governor M Ranganath Bhat, spoke on the occasion and encouraged Rotary Club Modankaup to give their best service to the people of the locality keeping in mind Rotary’s mission and vision
He wished the new President and his team the best in all their future endeavours.
The Assigned District Governor Rtn Prakash Karanth, emphasized on the education sector and motivated the new Rotary team to increase the number of members and thereby increase social service.
Governor’s Special Representative B. Sanjeeva Poojary introduced the new members. Secretary of the new club PA Raheem greeted everyone present on the occasion and on those who were watching on the Zoom and the programme was compered by Donald D’Souza.
