Mangaluru: Onam is not just a festival; it is a sense of camaraderie and happiness. Lourdes Central School Onam celebration was held on 26 August 2023. Principal Rev. Fr Robert D’souza and Vice Principals Belita Mascarenhas and Anita Thomas inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp.
The program started by seeking the blessings of the Almighty by reciting the universal prayer followed by intentions. The Thought for the Day was read by Anna Manimala of Class XD.
Deva Nanda and Aniruddh of Class XI B enlightened us with the significance of the festival. Students of Class X, XI and XII sang melodiously that captured beautifully the essence of Onam. Students of Class X and XII put together the bulletin board and decorated the lobby with a magnificent Pookkalam.
Respected Principal Rev Fr Robert D’souza addressed the students and greeted everyone on this festive occasion. The entire program was compered by Marissa Elizabeth and Skandha Nambiar of Class XI.
