Mangaluru: As part of World Environment Day celebrations, saplings were planted at the Regional Science Centre in Pilikula on Sunday June 6 at 10.00 am. Pilikula Development Authority Commissioner Venkatesh .G. presided over the programme held at regio6nal Science Centre Auditorium.
Dakshina Kannada Indian Red Cross Society Chairman C. A. Shantaram Shetty was the chief guest. Mangaluru City, Rotary Club President and Spearhead Media Pvt. Ltd. Executive Director Canute Jeevan Pinto was also present.
On this occasion, Dr. P. A. College, Mangaluru, Civil Engineering Department Head Dr. Palakshappa delivered a special lecture on “Global Warming and Climate Change”. He then visited the Herbarium, Botanical Museum and the Botanical Garden.
