Mangaluru: A park and playground will be constructed near Kadri Park in Mangaluru City for differently-abled children, said MLA B. Vedavyas Kamath.
Two specially-abled children’s schools are functioning in Mangaluru. Vinod Shenoy of Chetana School and Vasanth Shetty of Saanidhya Special Children’s School had requested MLA Kamath to construct a separate park and playground for these children for their play-learning and intellectual development.
Considering the request, the MLA held discussions with Mangaluru Development Authority (MUDA) Chairman Ravishankar Mijaru and submitted the proposal to the Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) for approval.
In this context, it is planned to construct a specially-abled children’s park on 50 cents of land adjacent to Kadri Park. It will be implemented soon and a new facility in Smart City Mangalore will be available for the use of differently-abled children and the public. Parents, teachers and associations of special childrens school have appreciated the move.
