String art exponent Ranjitha gets Anantamitra Kalbavi Award

Mangaluru: The first annual Ananthamitra Kalbavi Award 2022 was presented to young achiever Ranjitha Devadiga by Kalbavi Foundation and Mangaluru City Rotary at Hotel Utsav Auditorium in the City on Saturday June 4 in recognition of her achievements in string art.

Rajendra Kalbhavi, advisor to the Rotary Club and Chief Sponsor of the award, participated in the event. The award is constituted in the memory of his parents Late. Kalbhavi Anantha Padmanabha Rao and Late. Sumitra Rao.

Ranjitha, the daughter of Raghavendra Devadiga and Prameela Devadiga of Hebri was awarded a plaque, a certificate and a cash prize of Rs. 10,000.

Yuva Seva Project Director Prashanth Rai, Vani Rajendra Kalbhavi, Rajashree, Shailashree and others were present. Mangaluru City Rotary Club President and Spearhead Media Pvt. Ltd. Executive Director Canute Jeevan Pinto welcomed the gathering. The Founder President of the institute Dr. Ranjan gave details of the awardees.

On the occasion, Sannith Sheth was inducted into the organisation as a new member. Secretary Basavakumar proposed the vote of thanks.
