Working office of Paryaya committee to open on September 16

Udupi : The Puttige Math Paryaya Mahotsava 2024-26 working office of Paryaya committee will be inaugurated on September 16 at 4 pm by Dr Veerendra Hegde of Dharmastala, said Raghupathy Bhat, Working President of Paryaya Committee and former MLA.

Addressing a press meet held at Puttige Math meeting Hall here on Wednesday, September 13, Raghupathy Bhat said that along with the inauguration of the working office, Dr Veerendra Hegde will launch the Paryaya emblem during the occasion.

After the launch of the logo of Paryaya Mahotsava, meetings of various committees and sub-committees will be held at Puttige Math office. There are various committees like finance, Hore Kanike, facilitation, cleaning, accommodation and other will be held. The pre-preparation committees meetings are held every now and then. Meanwhile, the Hon. President, Dr Veerendra Hegde will preside over the various committees meeting.

Raghupathy Bhat said that under Vishwa Geetha Paryaya, the Puttige Math Pontiff Sri Sugunendra Theertha Swamiji along with Puttige Math junior Pontiff Sri Sushindra Theertha Swamiji will take over the 4th Paryaya Mahothsava on January 18, 2024 with grandeur. On this Paryaya occasion, Sri Sugenendra Theertha Swamiji will launch the corridor projects in Udupi. On the occasion of Paryaya celebrations, the committee has written to the Union government as well as state government for the grant to celebrate the paryaya celebrations. Meanwhile, the committees will meet the chief minister, deputy chief minister, district in-charge minister and various concerned ministers to grant aid for the paryaya celebrations.

Ratghupathy Bhat said that due to world popularity of Puttige Math Pontiff, several foreigners’ will be expected to witness the paryaya celebrations. Hence, there should be fundamental facilities available in Udupi. We expect around Rs.5 crore spending for the celebrations. Hence, need aid from the public and the institutions as well, he said.

Paryaya Committee Convener Indrali Jayakar Shetty welcomed and Treasurer Ranjan Kalkura proposed vote of thanks. Mattar Rathnakar Hegde, Vice President, Ramesh Bhat and Nagaraj Acharya of Puttige Math were present during the press meet.
