A tragic road accident occurred on Thursday afternoon on the Mysuru-Bengaluru expressway near Tubinakere, Mandya taluk, claiming the lives of four family members from J P Nagar, Bengaluru. The victims were involved in a collision between their car and a speeding Airavat bus.
The deceased have been identified as Satyanandaraje Urs (51), his wife Nischitha (45), Chandru (62), and Sumedini Rani (50). They were reportedly traveling to Periyapatna in Mysuru district to attend a family event when the accident took place.
According to reports, the car had slowed down near the Tubinakere exit when it was suddenly rammed from behind by the speeding Airavat bus. The force of the collision resulted in the immediate deaths of all four passengers in the car.
Mandya Rural police have registered a case and are investigating the incident further.
