Gurunath Jantikar Should Contest Independently: Sanjeev Kumar Patil
Bidar: The BJP has done an injustice by not granting its ticket to its leader Gurunath Jantikar to contest the election from the Northeast Graduates’ constituency, stated Sanjeev Kumar Patil, vice president of cooperative unions.
Speaking to reporters here on Wednesday, he mentioned that Jantikar has been a part of the BJP for the last 35 years, fulfilling various responsibilities at different levels within the party, as well as in the RSS and Sahakar Bharati. However, he was denied the ticket without due recognition of his contributions to the party, he said.
Patil urged Jantikar to contest the election independently, emphasising that if he does so, all cooperative societies will support him. Highlighting Jantikar’s efforts, Patil mentioned that he has successfully registered over 58,000 graduates and has consistently fought for their rights of the graduates.
Addressing reporters, another leader, Jagannath Karanje, affirmed that Jyantikar has made all necessary arrangements to contest independently and is determined not to withdraw his decision.
Nagshetty Patil, Annarao Navadgere, Sanjeevkumar Sajjan, Basava Prakash, Amritrao Hosamani, Veershetty, and others were present during the media briefing.
