Hassan: Deputy Chief Minister and Water Resources Minister D.K. Shivakumar visited the Ettinhole project site near Kumbaradi in Sakaleshpur taluk to inspect the construction work. He paid homage to Goddess Chamundeshwari and turned on the motor pump to conduct a trial run. Shivakumar stated that the Ettinhole project is an ambitious initiative of the government and himself, and he has come to pay respects to Mother Ganga and oversee the trial run.
He mentioned that officials showed him records and videos, but he wanted to personally oversee the trial run. Despite the deadline being pushed back by 2-3 months, Shivakumar claimed to have already conducted five trial runs, lifting 1,500 cusecs of water. He expressed his intention to invite the Chief Ministers to witness the project’s progress.
The event was attended by MP Shreyas Patel, MLAs K.M. Shivalingegowda, Cement Manju, Sarath Bachegowda, and former minister T.B. Jayachandra, who offered their support for the project. The tank was dedicated to practically flowing water, marking a significant milestone in the project’s development.
