In a heartbreaking incident in Chandapur village, Shiggaon Taluk, Haveri District, a three-year-old boy, Aditya Lamani, tragically drowned after falling into a water drum kept in a toilet.
The accident occurred when Aditya’s parents, Yallamma and Shankar Lamani, were away working in nearby fields, leaving him at home. Sources suggest the child accidentally fell into the drum, leading to the tragic loss.
A case has been registered at the Bankapur police station, and investigations are underway.
This incident underscores the need for heightened safety measures around water storage, especially in homes with young children.
