Effective Indradhanush 5.0 drive in the district

Dharwad: A vaccination drive under Indradhanusha 5.0 programme was held at the women’s and children’s department of the district hospital here on August 7th.

To make the Indradhanush 5.0 program successful in the district, all mothers and pregnant women should actively participate and get the necessary vaccinations, Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Swarup T.K. said.

He spoke at the women’s and children’s hospital department of the district hospital this morning, kicking off vaccination by giving vaccination to children under the effective Indradhanusha 5.0 program. He said that vaccines given under the Indradhanusha program can protect cattle, children and mothers, and pregnant women from major diseases.

Age-wise unvaccinated, missed, deprived and overdue pregnant women and all children below 5 years of age will be vaccinated in intensive Mission Indradhanuμï 5.0 as per Universal Immunization Program schedule.

Especially Dhadar rubella immunity gap will be reduced. Reaching out to vulnerable communities and community participation is being prioritized in this program, said G.P. CEO Swaroop T.K. He said.

District Health Officer Dr. Patila Shashi said that the details of the vaccines given in the effective mission Indradhanu 5.0 will be recorded in the U. Veen portal and e-vaccination certificates will be distributed.District Hospital Dr. District Surgeon. Sangappa Gabi said that the mother and child department of the district hospital is functioning well. Necessary infrastructure and personnel are provided to make effective Indradhanush a success. He informed that the pregnant women arriving every day, children to be born and mothers are being vaccinated regularly.

Dr. Rajendra Hallikeri, Resident Medical Officer of the District Hospital welcomed.
