Nikos Narkissos, a model turned photographer is all set to release his new calendar, “The Body sculpt 2017” which is touted as one of the India’s first fitness calendars. Several fitness enthusiasts are featured in this calendar as it provides a platform for budding fitness models in India.
Who are featured in this?
Top Indian sports personalities and fitness freaks of both genders who have sculpted their bodies to perfection, are part of the calendar. Several Egyptian Queens and Greek Gods from various walks of life are featured under women and men’s categories.
Under the female category, a medical student, an airhostess, a Femina Miss India participant, a qualified engineer and a doctor have made it to the calendar. Under the male category, an Indian Railways employee, an Indian Institute of Science student, a Ranji Trophy player and a football player are appearing on the calendar.
Main Models of “The Body Sculpt 2017” include 2014 Miss India athlete Ankita Singh from Bangalore, Dr. Francesca Fesheila Tan, a Malaysian medical student studying in Belgaum, Femina Miss India Hyderabad/Kolkata 2016 Finalist, Sharon Rose from Hyderabad and Russian Model Veronika Slonevskaya based in Goa/Russia.
Karnataka based models Ankita Singh and Francesca Fesheila Tan are the fitness enthusiasts who have made it to the calendar.
Sharon Rose:
• This Dusky Airhostess from Vizag, loves fitness. She entered Femina Miss India 2016 in Hyderabad as well as Kolkata and emerged as a finalist in both the contests. She is the youngest athlete to be featured in this calendar. As the daughter of a priest, she feels that fit women ensure a fit family. Sharon believes that fitness is a motto that more and more women should abide by, not for beauty but for being healthy. “Flexing is not just a man’s job”, she added with a grin.
Ankita Singh:
• She is a pride for Bangalore and one of the most renowned names of female fitness in India. Daughter of an Uttar Pradesh MLA, she broke barriers and traditions to finally represent India in various international competitions. Ankita Singh opens “The Body Sculpt 2017” calendar as the January Girl. She is a qualified engineer from M S Ramaiah Institute of Technology and was formerly working with Accenture.
Dr. Francesca Fesheila Tan:
• This Malaysian medical student came to Belgaum on scholarship for her higher studies. Besides studying, she took up fitness as she felt the importance of both physical and mental fitness. Doctors are not often seen on stage flexing but she represents the medical professionals’ community in various fitness competitions.
Other athletes:
• Cover Boy Poorna Chandran is from Chennai and is presently working for the Indian railways. He is also taking care of his family since he lost his father. Poorna has represented India in Mr. World 2015 at El-Salvador, where he was placed 6th.
• Bineet Bose has worked in India and Nepal. He quit his job to pursue his dreams of becoming an Indian fitness athlete. This Lucknow born muscle man went on to win Muscle Mania 2016 held in Mumbai.
• Biwsanath Haldar is a student of Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. He is academically brilliant and the perfect example of brain and brawn. He currently works for Microsoft and stays fit. Managing work and fitness, this model also goes on to prove that managing both vocations can be tough but not impossible.
• Raghav Awasthi is a Ranji Trophy cricket player who took up fitness after a sports related injury. Apart from winning Mr. Delhi 2016, he also won “India’s Best Body” title in the same year.
• Angelo Sandri is an India born Italian athlete. Based in Goa, he has been a football player. He won the Muscle Mania India 2014 and Muscle Mania Rimini 2016 titles in Italy.
