The complaint was filed by Tahara, a 56-year-old resident of Koramangala, Bengaluru. On July 30, 2022, she visited the restaurant for breakfast while en route to Hassan for a family trip. Tahara alleged that the food served was cold and not fresh. When she requested a hot meal, the restaurant staff rudely declined.

Tahara, who has high blood pressure, claimed that she could not take her medication as she couldn’t eat the food served.

Commission President B Narayanapappa fined the restaurant Rs 5,000 for deficiency in service and an additional Rs 2,000 to cover litigation expenses.
