Hubballi: In a decisive move to ensure public safety, Hubballi-Dharwad Police Commissioner N. Shashikumar has enforced externment orders on 45 individuals identified as rowdy-sheeters involved in various criminal activities.

At a press briefing, Commissioner Shashikumar explained that these individuals, who have been linked to offenses such as murder, extortion, drug trafficking, gambling, and land mafia operations, pose a significant threat to public peace. As part of a preventive strategy, they have been relocated to different districts including Bidar, Yadgir, Dakshina Kannada, and Chamarajanagar, where they will remain under close surveillance.

The Commissioner made it clear that any violations of the externment conditions will result in severe legal consequences.

Among the 45 individuals, 17 are from Dharwad and 28 from Hubballi, with criminal cases registered across various police stations in both cities. This bold action highlights the police department’s commitment to tackling criminal elements and maintaining peace in the region.

The externment orders reflect a proactive approach to controlling criminal activities and ensuring the safety of residents in Hubballi-Dharwad.
