As January 26, 2025, draws near, India eagerly anticipates the 76th Republic Day celebrations, marking 75 years since the adoption of the Indian Constitution in 1950. The highlight of the festivities will be the grand Republic Day Parade at Kartavya Path, New Delhi, near India Gate, where the nation will showcase its unity, strength, and cultural richness.

The parade will feature contingents from the Indian Armed Forces and paramilitary forces, as well as vibrant tableaux representing various states and union territories, each highlighting India’s diverse heritage. The parade will extend from Rashtrapati Bhavan to India Gate, capturing the spirit of India’s democratic journey.

This year’s Republic Day theme, ‘Swarnim Bharat: Virasat aur Vikas’ (Golden India: Heritage and Progress), emphasizes the nation’s cultural heritage and its continuous progress towards development. Tableaux from 15 states, including Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Goa, Gujarat, Karnataka, and Madhya Pradesh, will be featured, alongside 11 central government contingents.

In a momentous addition, Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto has been invited as the chief guest for the celebrations, further symbolizing the strengthening of India-Indonesia relations.

Republic Day 2025 will be a moment of pride and reflection as India commemorates its journey as a democratic republic since its first Republic Day in 1951.
